Owner Joe Palumbo started the parent company of Ice Dam Guys – Palumbo Services, Inc. – in 1995 and incorporated in 1996. After graduating from Forest Lake High School, Joe joined the United States Navy on a two year SAM program. Upon arriving back to his home in Lino Lakes, MN he spent a few years working for a local landscape company before deciding in 1995 to start his own landscaping business and make the Twin Cities area his permanent home. It wasn’t long after that in 1996 that he expanded his business to include residential and commercial snow and ice removal. It began as general parking lot and driveway plowing and quickly evolved into a full-service ice dam removal company.
Now, Ice Dam Guys has expanded far beyond Minnesota – having traveled to Massachusetts to help homeowners in the record-breaking winter of 2015.
